Summer Concerts You’ve Got to See

summer concerts

You’ve kissed school goodbye and now you’re looking forward to the summer and all the awesome adventures it promises. One of the best summertime activities to take part in is live music. Based on what we have heard during our senior picture sessions, the concert lineup around Denver is always pretty amazing these days, but this summer there are some big names promising some fantastic shows you are not going to want to miss. Check out some of the summer concerts in Denver you just can’t miss this year.

Big Gig

Every summer, the Big Gig comes to town at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater and it is an experience you don’t want to miss. Last year’s headliner was Blink-182, and this year’s lineup features Thirty Seconds to Mars, WALK THE MOON, K. Flay, Welshly Arms, lovelytheband, Jukebox the Ghost, Two Feet, and L.I.F.T. If that lineup doesn’t get you excited for some outdoor music in the middle of a Front Range summer, we don’t know what will! Big Gig will be July 15. 2018 and tickets range from $35.00 – $99.50 and are available through Fiddler’s Green’s website.

Kesha and Macklemore

Two of the most powerful and progressive voices out there are combining forces for an epic tour this year and they have finally put Denver on the list of stops! The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore Tour will be stopping into the Pepsi Center on June 17. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the show starts at 7:00 – tickets range from $50.50 – $160 and are available through Altitude Tickets. But honestly, who wouldn’t want the opportunity to hear “Praying” live?

Bruno Mars

After having to cancel his concert last October due to illness, Bruno Mars has finally rescheduled the date for September 8. He’ll be touring with Cardi B for this XXXVI K Magic Tour – if you didn’t get your tickets first time around, now’s your chance! Seats for the “24 K Magic” singer’s show are going for $59.50 – $215 and are available via Altitude Tickets.

Harry Styles

The former One Direction frontman has made quite a name for himself as a solo artist since leaving the sensational boy band, and will be stopping by the Pepsi Center on Tuesday, July 3. With opener Kacey Musgraves, this is bound to be a memorable show for fans of Styles’ new sound. Tickets are available on Altitude Tickets and range from $39.50-$99.50.

Panic! At the Disco

The bands’ highly anticipated sixth album, Pray For The Wicked drops June 22, and though they lost a beloved band member when bass player Dallon Weekes left last year to dedicate more time and energy to his new project, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, Panic! is still going strong. With a new bassist, Nicole Row, the band’s first female member, they are set to take the stage at the Pepsi Center on August 7. Fans of frontman Brendon Urie know that this album is a bit more personal than previous ones, and the show promises to be upbeat and filled with the spectacular theatrics the Death of a Bachelor tour solidified. Tickets are available at Altitude Tickets and range from $30.75-$70.75.

Janelle Monae

If you’re looking for a stunning vocalist with fierce style and an impressive message, Janelle Monae is your girl. Having just released her Dirty Computer album, she’s heading out on tour with St. Beauty and will be performing at the Paramount Theater on July 1. It promises to be a powerful performance that leaves concertgoers feeling empowered and strong. Tickets are available at Altitude Tickets and range from $55-$89.50.

No matter what your taste in music, there’s something coming through Denver this summer for you. Check out one of these big names or take a tour of the smaller venues around the city to see some local acts and get introduced to a new favorite band you may never have heard of otherwise.
